It's never easy for pregnant women at work - between hormonal changes, a swelling belly and constant fatigue, many expectant mothers find it a struggle. But Halle Berry's surprise pregnancy was a "constant challenge" for the actress when she was trying to play superhero Storm in the latest X-Men flick.
Halle, 46, is pregnant with her second child and revealed that her unexpected pregnancy was difficult at times, as she attempted to reprise her role as Storm, with a huge belly in tow.
The X-Men: Days of Future Past superstar revealed to Total Film: "I wasn't in [the movie] as much as I was meant to be. [Pregnancy] kind of colored what my involvement could be, which was why I was one of the first ones in and the first ones out."
So what did that mean for Berry's usually agile, justice-fighting role as Storm? Berry explained that her role in the film had to drastically change to fit around her new body.
Halle's bump was a "challenge" on the X-Men set"My ever-growing belly was posing a constant challenge!" she says. "What I could do was getting more limited, so the role I play is so different from what it could have been, due to my surprise pregnancy."
The glowing actress is expecting a baby with her new husband Oliver Martinez, and already has a five-year-old daughter Nahla, with her former partner Gabriel Aubry.
How does one stay looking as good as Berry, with a little daughter and a new baby in tow?
Halle B insists: "There's no secret, I've just lived a healthy lifestyle.
"I only work out like three times a week, 30 minutes a pop. That and good clean living. As I'm getting older it's just paying off."
